Mobile Engineer (React Native) 📱

About the role

We're seeking a skilled engineer to join our small team building Mystro, a cross-platform mobile app that's revolutionizing gig work.

Mystro is built in React Native. Your main focus will be app performance: reducing crash and app-not-responding rates, speeding up slow hot starts, and keeping the app reliable over long drives. You'll also work directly with our designer and product manager to ship new features.

You'll be our fourth engineer and the eighth person on the team.

Requirements

Must have

• Experience building and maintaining mobile apps

Additional relevant experience

• Our stack: React Native with Expo and TypeScript, Redux Toolkit, Reanimated, custom Swift and Kotlin native modules.
• Ride share, gig economy, mapping, or navigation apps
• Mobile app backend services and/or native app development
• Third-party app tools including analytics (e.g. Amplitude), bug tracking (e.g. Sentry), billing (e.g. RevenueCat), etc.
• Reverse engineering

Compensation

$155,000-$205,000 per year. Opportunity for equity: we can structure an offer that includes stock options in place of some salary.

Location

San Francisco, CA. You must be available to join us in the office (located in the Mission) at least 4 days per week.
